CLI
Run, inspect, and diagnose an agent with Noir's small Node HTTP host.
The package installs a noir binary.
noir dev [agent.ts] [--port 3000] [--host 0.0.0.0] [--max-body-bytes 1048576]
noir start [agent.js] [--port 3000] [--host 0.0.0.0] [--max-body-bytes 1048576]
noir doctor [agent.ts]
noir inspect [agent.ts]dev
Loads a TypeScript entry file in an environment capable of executing it, starts the agent, and serves its webhook routes. The default file is ./agent.ts.
start
Loads a built JavaScript entry file and runs the same HTTP host. Use this in a conventional Node container after your build step.
doctor
Loads the agent and runs model, channel, connector, capability, and store health checks that are exposed by the configured components. It exits nonzero when the assembled agent is unhealthy and closes the runtime afterward.
inspect
Prints the agent ID and assembled routes, channels, tools, connectors, capabilities, policy, and relevant limits without starting the polling worker. Use it to review the authority surface in CI.
Environment overrides
NOIR_PORTdefaults to3000.NOIR_HOSTdefaults to0.0.0.0.NOIR_MAX_BODY_BYTESdefaults to1048576.
Flags override environment values. Invalid ports and non-positive body limits fail before startup.
Host behavior
The CLI bounds incoming request bodies, preserves headers, constructs a Fetch API Request, calls agent.fetch, and mirrors the resulting response. SIGINT and SIGTERM stop the HTTP server and call agent.close().
Use your own host when you need platform-specific background work, routing, TLS, or worker lifecycle. The AgentRuntime methods are the complete integration surface.
