Supermemory

Add automatic scoped recall, remembering, and deletion through a user-owned Supermemory account.

import { supermemory } from '@noir-agent/agent/memory/supermemory'

memory: supermemory({
  apiKey: process.env.SUPERMEMORY_API_KEY!,
  scope: 'actor',
  namespace: 'my-agent',
  searchMode: 'hybrid',
  threshold: 0.65,
})

The adapter calls Supermemory directly from your process. The API key, account, containers, and retained data belong to your application.

Scope

Choose actor, conversation, or installation. Noir derives a deterministic, hashed container tag from the agent and relevant verified identity dimensions. A custom function can return a container tag when your application already has a tenancy scheme; tags are limited to 100 safe characters.

Recall

Queries use the v4 search endpoint with hybrid, memories, or documents mode. limit is bounded to a positive integer. Results map memory text, source, confidence, creation time, and expiration into Noir facts. Expired facts are removed from recall results.

Remember and forget

Facts must contain 1 to 10,000 characters and are uploaded in batches of 100. Metadata preserves source, confidence, creation, and expiration. Expired facts are not uploaded. memory.forget deletes by fact ID and container, and Noir marks it for requester approval.

Errors

Network and transient HTTP failures are retryable, including provider retry timing when supplied. Authentication and validation failures are not hidden. The health check reports whether the API key is configured without making an expensive search.

Use a distinct namespace when two agents should not share facts even if they use the same actor and installation IDs.
